He was born in Windsor and was a life long resident of Aiken County, prior to moving to Johnston five months ago. He was a retired parts salesman for Cravens in North Augusta and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Windsor. He was an avid NASCAR fan and had actually driven in several races. He is survived by his son, Travis Hatcher, Simpsonville, SC and his former wife, Fay Hatcher, Aiken. Memorial donations may be directed to First Baptist Church of Windsor Building Fund or Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund.
